Having read about various time periods in which our country has gone through events related to social injustice, we are, for some, considered “woke” This is a term that does not have just one meaning. Some consider this to be a negative term. What does “woke” mean to you? Do you consider it to be a good thing or a bad thing? There are discussions happening all over the internet on this topic. The Washington Post has an article “The War on “Wokeness” Is Ramping Up” for example. This is a time for you to reflect on how your awareness of social justice has grown or changed. It is more of a reflective piece of writing than an argumentative essay. It should be about three pages.
