Develop a list of community resources related to career counseling by consulting with a school counselor to evaluate and reflect on the importance of resource lists. Discuss scenarios in which students or families might be referred to an outside organization on the list.

Maximo just started his sophomore year in high school. He has discussed his plans for after high
school with you in the past. His uncle owns a roofing company and has offered to hire Maximo
full-time once he graduates from high school. Maximo recently completed the My Next Move
interest profiler, and his results have led him to reconsider his post-high school plans. He is
considering whether he should attend a community college or university instead of going straight
to work for his uncle. He has come to you for your input.
