Instructions:

1. Follow these links: http://arthistoryproject.com/timeline/middle-ages/ and http://arthistoryproject.com/timeline/age-of-discovery/ . Review the nine eras of art: Gothic, Romanesque, Byzantine, Renaissance, Mannerism, Baroque, Rococo, the Enlightenment, and Neoclassicism.

2. Choose one image of an artwork/artifact from each era that you think represents the form (visual) and content (message) of that era (9 total images).

3. Search each image on Google/Images. Copy and paste the images into a Word document.

4. Number each image. Next to the number and above the image, list the materials, style, mood, message/purpose/function.

5. Answer this: Why do you think your art/artifact represents that historical era?
