In recent months the use of online meeting platforms (Zoom, Webex, etc) has increased exponentially as they have replaced in-person interactions. What are some of the differences between online meetings and in-person meetings? How is nonverbal communication impacted by online meetings as opposed to in-person meetings? What does a person need to do differently in the online meeting in order to communicate clearly? Do the use of online tools help or hinder communication?
