Read chapters 1-5 of Sherman Alexie’s novel Flight.  Here are some tips for reading: the main character travels in time AND he also appears as another person during this time travel–although he is still himself and has the awareness of himself.  While this can be disorienting, it is a part of what Alexie is doing by having this character experience the things he does.  You’ll see how it all fits together in the end.  Write a one-paragraph response to Chapters 1-5 wherein you examine who the main character is and what is happening in his life.
