1. What types of track and trace capabilities could help VEN detect temperature problems and respond before the product is ruined?
One type of track and trace capability that is very useful in detections for VEN, is satellite. It allows the product to stay visible through tracking and sending notifications to the user when the shipment, is off-track, stops, or is behind schedule. This notification allows the ability for corrective actions can be taken. This can help to keep the product safe and to have an efficient the response time to the shipments.
2. Are autonomous trucks a potential answer to driver shortage problems that plague VEN’s transportation providers? Why or why not?
I think that autonomous truck could be the answer to the driver shortage problem that plagues VENs transportation providers. They could select carriers could use those types of trucks the most. Also, the one that would have the knowledge and technology required to carry the temperature sensitive liquid and powder supplements being sold by VEN. Autonomous trucks could ensure that there is no delay of shipments due to shortage of drivers.
3. What value could VEN derive from the analytics capabilities being embedded in a state- of-the-art TMS?
VEN could gain value from adding embedded analytics to a TMS platforms. It would allow transportation providers, VEN, and customers to base decisions on up-to-date data being gathered rather than on human interpretations of incomplete data. It would make choice more accurate and decrease human error on data-based decisions.
