My Facebook account creation process was very easy.
You input all of your information, Add a profile picture ( If you want) , Set up the privacy settings and then start your search on finding friends, or posting on you’re wall.
I don’t have may tips , because the process was so easy , One tip I can give you though is to , Make sure your privacy settings are how you want them in the start of your account creation , there is a tab under personal information that says privacy settings you can click on and click the privacy settings you want.
