I will use articles about adolescent delinquency, Parental supervision, juvenile pre-delinquents or

delinquents, and juvenile awareness programs.

Reference books that I will use include; evidence-based juvenile justice systems, prevention and

Oxford Handbook of Juvenile Crime and Juvenile Justice, and Handbook on restorative justice

programs.

One organization that will be used for the discipline

The National Center for Juvenile Justice (NCJJ) is the research division in the National

Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges. The organization is located in Pittsburg and is one

of the oldest research groups that deal with juvenile justice in the United States. The organization

first conducted sub-national and national studies on crime and delinquency in 1973. NCJJ was

founded by a long-serving court judge, Honorable Maurice B. Cohill where he retired from the

federal bench in 2016. NCJJ’s board comprises a wide range of professionals from dedicated

judges, justice system professionals, providers, and researchers who inform its decision-making

and activities. NCJJ is a nonprofit organization that aims to find effective justice for families and

children through technical assistance and research. For many decades, the organization has

conducted a lot of research that has provided several factual information and objectives for

decision-makers and professionals in the family and juvenile justice system. Its success has been

seen to be due to its ability to blend practical experience and technical skills that enable making

complex research that will help provide statistical information that will help decision-makers and

juvenile justice professionals. The organization has provided delinquency status reports over the

several decades of its operations that have been helpful for delinquency programs.
