Statement 1:    When a judge rules on an issue, this may set a precedent for future decisions (Costanzo & Krauss, 2018). However, when there are no rulings or data from scientists, therefore, no precedent, we must find a way to adapt and address new issues.  
Statement 2:   When a case of first impression is seen in court, it is important for a court to communicate and collaborate with other areas of the law in order to justify their decision (Hanna, 1957). In certain cases, one of these areas of law may be Psychology.
