Scenario

You are a member of a consulting firm that provides design services for institutions and organizations involved with education or training. The firm is adding a new type of design service (support systems), and you have been asked to prepare a basic design package for one of the new customers. The second task in creating the design for a support system is to prepare a learner support plan tailored to the type of client organization and its learner profile. The support plan should include a description of the core support services, logistical support, and support for individual needs. Descriptions of support features and functions should be supported by references to pertinent literature.

Goals

The intention of this assignment is to provide you an understanding of the key components of learner support and experience in creating a plan for providing that support.

You will find some pertinent resources in the Course Modules, but you should also locate additional high quality sources (e.g., from peer-reviewed articles) through the UMGC Library or access to open journals.

Format

· Single spacing is acceptable.

· Word count – 2,000-2,500 words (excluding the reference list).

· All sources should be cited within the essay and included in a References list in APA format.

· Submit your assignment as a document (e.g., Word file) in the Assignments Folder.
