Steroids in Baseball
Although banned in 1991, usage of steroids has been rampant in professional baseball since early 1980s and continued until 2003, when drug testing laws were passed in 2003 (Lindbergh, 2018). Performance Enhancing Drugs, or PEDs as these steroids are called, enhance performance and stamina of players by multiple fold making it easier for them to hit, run and pitch. It was also seen that these drugs make players more aggressive. Called the steroid era of MLB, the two decades between 80s and 2000s had many players break and re-break all previously held records of homeruns and showed an overall increase in homeruns per game in general (Brandon J Erickson, 2015).
Effect on Other Players
Effect of some baseball players taking PEDs to play games on other players is two-fold: Firstly, the players who do not intake steroids are physically not comparable to the players who are on steroids “ because PEDs help ones who consume them with enhanced performance on the field. So, the players on steroids are naturally the better performing ones leaving the good players who do not intake PEDs behind in the performance race by utilizing unfair practices.
The second major effect on players who did not intake PEDs is the additional testing. After the steroids episode was exposed in 2000s, there was widespread criticism in public along with stricter testing criteria which also included randomized testing, wherein any player could be tested any time. This meant that all players had to go to extra scrutiny irrespective of them taking PEDs.

Unethical Actions Harm Team Member
Unethical actions have solemn impacts on both groups of people. These two groups of people are individuals of tea and those of the other organizations. One can lose his/her occupation and reputation, the organizations may lose their trustworthiness, general confidence and output can turn down, and the unethical actions can outcome in noteworthy amounts of fines that would further lead to a loss in financial status (Connelly, Mumford, Steele, Mulhearn, Watts & Medeiros, 2017).
As a result of this former obligation and assurance to a player or a team member, it may result in causing conflict in information and facts which the performer uses unethical means like cheating. If the team member is not as expert as he/she looks to be so for instance creation of cognitive disagreement, says Schweitzer. It is identified along with the successes of a team member there lies a link with the own optimistic self-representation. Many years later, it had been heard that the evidence regarding the use of steroids by the players as an unethical means. It can be believed that Bonds had been a trickster and liar for the unfair means he used in his game policy (Crane, Matten, Glozer & Spence, 2019). Unethical means of actions used by some of the players in a team can result in a disadvantage for the other members of the same team who are fair and sincerely following the rules and regulations of the games. If some of the team members are unfair then the harm is equally applicable to all the team members. The entire team as a whole loses its reputation in spite of the true player’s hard works.
MLB Steroids Case
A methodical look for journalism was performed including online reserves as in Google baseball directory. The policies of MLB are regarding the use of steroid policies and their testing and analysis. Between the years 1993 and 2002, proceeding to the beginning of the mandatory test for steroid utility, there has been a rise in the figure of players utilizing PED as represented by the report of Mitchell. The time epochs of pre-1973 are referred to as early pre-steroid age, 1983-1992 is referred to as the pre-steroid era and 1993-2002 is referred to as the steroid epoch. The period 2003-2012 referred to as the post-steroid period was formed. Using these collapses, performance facts for the whole MLB was composed, collected and investigated as it narrated to hitting presentation. The subsequent performance statistics were collected employing baseballalmanac.com and evaluated.
The home run numbers (HR) which were beat by the American League, National League  and also the entire number of home runs smacked by MLB in every individual time from the years 1973-2012, the numeral of team members who beat more than forty home runs in a solo period for each the period from the years 1973-2012, the maximum number of home runs beat by a solitary performer in a particular term for each season from the period of 1973 to 2012, the standard isolated authority also known as ISO for MLB in each period starting from 1972 to 2012 with a batting standard for participants who punched more than forty HR in a period. Isolated authority is a metric that is used to compute a batter’s unprocessed and unrefined capability (Trevino & Nelson, 2016). It is calculated by the use of subtraction operation of batting standard from a slugging proportion. These changeable facts were considered to provide the best gauge of the power of the batters, which would be affected by the PED and hence were preferred. Other changeable facts as in values of doubles and singles and their beat outs are not considered to be unswervingly connected to PED. These were thus not examined. It consisted of six groups that were added to the team of MLB between the periods of 1973 to 2012.
