In 600 words, describe your animal, attending to both its outside and inside. That is, write about its body, how it behaves in the world, and how it experiences the world – its umwelt. Describe it as though your reader has never seen or encountered one before! This is a challenging task, as 600 words is not many words and volumes can be written on any one animal.  So, you will need to figure out a way to capture what is essential and unique about your animal in a concise and engaging way.
