You are required to complete two components for this final assessment:

1. A PowerPoint presentation presented in a video recording, analyzing and giving your perspective on a specific leadership theory discussed in the class.

2. A written report (1,500 words) discussing the state of leadership in the modern era.

Instructions

Part 1: PowerPoint Presentation + Video

Task:

Choose one leadership theory that has been covered during the course (e.g. Situational Leadership, Conflict Management, Team Development Framework, etc.).

Your task is to prepare a PowerPoint presentation that: 1. Explains the chosen theory clearly and concisely.

2. Critically analyses the theory. what works, what might doesn’t and why.

3. Includes a real-world example or case study (business, political, social, etc.) where this theory is used in practice.

4. Gives your personal opinion on the value and relevance of the theory in today’s world.

5. End it with a conclusion slide with 3–5 takeaways for future business leaders.

Presentation Guidelines:

Duration: 5-7 minutes – video recorded on PPT. Check Moodle for instructions.

Format: PowerPoint

Visual design: Keep slides clean and clear, use visuals, bullet points and minimal text Submit a recorded video

Part 2: Written Report (1,500 words)

Title: Leadership in the Modern Era

In this written report, you should:

1. Discuss the changing demands on leadership in today’s world.

2. Identify at least two key challenges for leaders in the 2020s (e.g. digital transformation, managing remote teams, generational shifts, DEI, sustainability).

3. Reflect on how leadership has evolved compared to traditional leadership styles.

4. Briefly connect your written insights to the leadership theory you discussed in your presentation, what still fits, what doesn’t.

5. End with a clear argument on what kind of leadership is most needed today and why.
