The SARS-Cov-2 virus, causing Covid-19, has caused one of the worst pandemics in recent history, due to its transmissibility and mortality rate.  Social distancing and hygiene practices are currently the only means available to combat the virus in the general population.
If you were advising the White House or briefing the press on the Covid-19 pandemic, what would you say as a scientist?  How might you encourage (or discourage, as you see appropriate) the kind of practices that have become common across the world in the last few months, based on scientific rationale?
