CJ 331: Milestone Two Guidelines and Rubric
Milestone Two will address the critical elements in section II of the final project, entitled Organization Transformation. Review the Final Project Document, think about the scenario, and formulate answers and solutions you would recommend to solve the problem. Keep your answers clear, effective, and focused on the basic ideas you want to offer.
a. Explain the overarching purpose in the alignment of community policing ideals and effective patrol principles throughout your entire agency. How do these ideals affect interpersonal interactions?
b. Recommend strategies for aligning community policing ideals and effective patrol principles in the recruitment and hiring departments in your agency. How can these ideals be systematically incorporated into the processes of recruitment, selection, and hiring? How can you work with employees in this department to support the process of alignment?
c. Recommend strategies for aligning community policing and patrol ideals into the training and evaluation processes in your agency. How can supervisors tie performance evaluations to community policing principles? What support will be needed to train your officers and agency stakeholders?
d. Recommend strategies for aligning community policing and patrol ideals into the command structure of the agency. How will this initiative impact your frontline officers?
Guidelines for Submission: Module Two must be submitted as a Microsoft Word document with 12-point Times New Roman font, double spacing, and one-inch margins.
