BUS509 – Descriptive Analytics and Decisions Unit 4 Assignment

BUS509 – Descriptive Analytics and Decisions Unit 4 Assignment

As a Bream (Abramis Brama) fisherman you need to make sure you are aware of how much fish you are bringing in. If you catch too many fish by weight, you will exceed your boats capacity, and/ or be out of compliance with regulations. Towards the end of you trip, some of you crew decide to weigh themselves on your fish scale and break it. You think you may have head home, which could lead to financial loss, but you think you might be able to say out if you could estimate the weight of your fish using the data collected by the fish market last season.

For the Bream Species of fish create three scatter charts, including both a
trendline and an R2 value. Adjust any data you may see as an outlier.
o Chart 1 – Weight vs Total Body Height
o Chart 2 – Weight vs Total Length
o Chart 3 – Weight vs Width
Answer which measure (length, height or width) is the best predictor of weight?
