Energy. Our modern society gains countless benefits from its use but generating it contributes to pollution and increased greenhouse gases. Increased use of alternative sources is growing but too much of our energy needs are still being supplied by the use of fossil fuels. While there are no easy solutions today, conservation is a valuable tool to reduce the impact of energy generation. This brings us to the “green computing” concept. Implementing green computing practices not only benefits the environment but also helps an organization save on energy costs. To get the pulse of an initiative in industry such as green computing, it is often beneficial to visit sites popular with the IT industry. Take some time exploring these resources and search for articles related to green computing.
