Create a professional resume and cover letter that effectively show your skills, experiences, and academic
achievements. You will submit this assignment by copying the link into the submission portal in Blackboard.
Your resume should follow ALL of the specifications below:

Item Description
All contact info is located at the top of your resume
Name is in the largest font on your resume and is bold, so your
name stands out (16-20 pt)
(Your contact information can be a smaller font, e.g., 10-12 pt.)
City and state are present
A phone number where you can be reached between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. is
included
Professional email address is included
(Avoid using “cute” or inappropriate email usernames.)
Degree is listed first
Major and expected date of graduation are included
(Can be on the same line as your degree to save space.)
Full college name with city and state is included
OMIT high school information unless it’s something exceptional.
Jobs/experiences are listed with the most recent one first.
Position title comes first, followed by the name of the
employer/organization, location (city and state) and dates of
employment.
Job responsibilities/duties are listed using bullet points instead of writing
them in paragraph form
Strong action verbs are used to describe your work experience
(See list at the end of this document).
The words/skills used in the resume are the same as those used in
the job posting
