The food system is not immune from public health and environmental challenges. In recent years concerns about the safety of food sources has resulted in recalls because of contamination, substitutions of foods with sub-standard parts and the presence of drugs and chemicals in the foods we eat.
Identify one challenge affecting any segment of the Food System. (See Table 1.1 on page 11 of the required reading for challenge examples).
