TASK DESCRIPTION

BACKGROUND/INTRODUCTION

Planning is an essential activity in many of the complex jobs in business and work organisations of the

modern world. As this complexity increases, the need for systematic planning is much more important

John Ashton, project manager of Megabyte Software, Inc., wants you to prepare a network diagram for their software development project titled ‘Colour Printer Driver Software Project’. You will receive a bonus of €100 a day for completing the project earlier than project deadline estimated from critical path. The contract also contains a penalty clause in which you will lose €80 for each day the project takes longer than estimated deadline. The activity time estimates and their dependencies are shown below in the table:
