This week’s readings introduced you to the academic challenges facing students and institutions particularly as they relate to the issue of developmental education. Kuh et al. (2010) suggest DEEP institutions share a responsibility for educational quality and student success that ultimately results in high expectations for student performance.

In this week’s Discussion, you will reflect upon the issues of cost as it relates to sharing the responsibilities of developmental education and the benefits of offering developmental coursework and opportunities to students.
