AERO 3030: Propulsion Fundamentals
Writing Assignments | Summer 2020
The criteria for writing assignments are listed below.
Formatting (1 point)
Double spaced, 1 inch margins, and Times New Roman (or similar font) at 12 point
Include your name, article title, and author
Content (5 points)
Write a one paragraph summary of the article you read
There should be SIX lines minimum, and it should not exceed one page
The summary should not include your personal comments
Do not quote any part of the article in your summary; use your words only
Grammar (4 points)
The summary should be free of grammatical errors
Submission
Submit a digital file on D2L
Late submissions are not allowed
Plagiarism Detection
You will see the originality percentage when you submit your work on D2L (it may take an hour
to display the originality percentage)
Anything over 20% will automatically be scored as a 0
You may resubmit the assignment if the percentage is too high (only before the deadline!!)
Grading
50% content
40% grammar
10% format
