Software such as Docusign makes it very easy to provide an electronic signature on contracts that are shared securely via email with new clients or vendors.  One can argue that the use of digital signatures can increase the speed of business, especially when connecting with clients or vendors in other time zones or countries.  This assumes that documents of this nature are shared securely, on a secure network accessed by appropriate staff members.
