Read chapter 29-32

In these chapters, Chua goes through a transition as a parent”as she finally “gives up and gives Lulu the choice about whether or not she will continue to play the violin. 

First, describe the event that serves as the climax of Amy Chua and Lulus tempestuous relationship.  (Hint: See Chapter 31)   
Then describe how the violin became symbolic to Chua and Lulu in different ways.  What kinds of symbolism do you think the violin held for Sophia and Jed?
Write a TWO-paragraph essay, with one paragraph for each question above.  Each paragraph should be at least 150 words long.
