My paper will focus on the effects of media platforms on the 2016 Presidential elections. It will explore how the attention was centered around Donald Trump more than Hillary Clinton. Elements of newsworthiness and horse race coverage will be mentioned when exploring which candidate often made headlines and for what reasons. There is sufficient evidence to prove that mass media outlets contributed to the outcome of the 2016 election.
