Click the link above to view video regarding children who was born biologically one sex and have chosen at an early age began to identify with the opposite sex. It focuses on the inside the struggles and choices facing transgender kids and their families, in an era where they have more medical options than ever before.
Assignment
You can choose to use this film or another resource related to transgender children and the challenges both they and society face in supporting their development. If you chose to use another resource provide the link or citation for the reference.
Write commentary on what you consider to be the most important issues that need to be addressed to create more supportive educational, medical and social systems for transgender youth. Consider if your child identified as the opposite sex to their biological sex what you might do in that situation and like to see in place for your childs healthy development.
