THEORY RESEARCH
Think about a topic related to communication in which you are interested. Identify one variable that is specific to communication and another variable that might either cause or result from this communicative variable. Then, answer the following questions.
1. Identify your variables. Why are these interesting things to research?
2. Develop a research question or hypothesis about these variables. To whom would this research question/hypothesis be most interesting?
3. What practical application could be garnered from answering your research question/hypothesis?
4. Identify a specific theory that may explain or serve as a framework for considering your research question/hypothesis.
5. Detail the theory and make an argument for why it is relevant.
