SPM345 Final Case Project
Basics:
Each student will be selecting a case from the 4 provided in the course materials. They will then identify all the major players involved in the case.
Details:
The student will begin with a brief summary of the case from their point of view. This should just include what details are in the summary with a little area for their own spin on how it happened.
You will then identify the defense(s) for each defendant in the case. You will take the role of defense lawyer so you should be thorough in your searching for defenses. After you have identified all the defenses, you will look at each one from a perspective of the actual trial judge and determine the true chance of their defense holding up.
In the end, you should identify (based on the facts of the cases and your opinion) which defendant(s) would be at fault and who would not be at fault. You are allowed to assign contributory damages if you see the need.
