Write a report of up to 4000 words in length (20-credit module, or up to 2000 words for the 10-credit module) as follows:
Select two aspects (20-credit module, students on the 10-credit module should select ONE aspect only) of housing inequality considered in the module and for each one answer the follow questions:
1 identify a dimension of housing inequality (explain how this inequality is socially constructed, or “framed” by the media, pressure groups, lobbying, politicians etc.)
2 Demonstrate the extent and nature of that inequality (show data which explain which groups of people experience this inequality and consider what are the consequences of this for these groups?)
3 Critically assess both theoretical accounts of this inequality and of policy responses to it (note the requirement to critically assess here – you are expected to demonstrate your engagement with both the theoretical and policy debates).
