My name is Alexandra Figueroa, and my goal in taking this class is to gain knowledge in real estate economics and become a real estate agent once I pass my salesperson exam with the DRE. This has always been an interest of mine since I was a child and my parents bought their first home. This is my second year attending VVC. I have decided to take the next step in furthering my career by majoring in business. As of now, I would like to earn my associate’s in business and also get my license in real estate. This spring course is the fifth course that I will be attending in real estate with Ms. Brown. I have already downloaded Canvas onto my cell phone and have notifications turned on to be notified as soon as assignments are open. My parents have wifi at home that I could access at any time, and to complete my assignments, I will be using my iPad. The book for this course was available on ebay for a discounted price so I made sure to acquire it as soon as possible.On top of being a student, I also work two jobs, one of them is as a jewelry sales specialist, and the other is working for the Inroads creative program to provide care for my brother, who has Down syndrome. I moved to Victorville about eleven years ago from Mexico with my mom and brother to finish school and be closer to my family. My brothers work on cars. One of them has a shop that specializes in building race cars, and in my free time, I like to show support by attending any events they may be a part of. I like being out in nature, so I enjoy roller skating at the beach or going for a hike with my family and dog. Im excited to start this new class and meet new people along the way.
