Observation-Instructions
Through a direct, naturalistic observation of a child in an educational setting, you are to write a report on the behavioral characteristics of a child 10 years of age or younger. You will have to obtain written permission from the childs parent/teacher in order to conduct the observation and write the report. See Attachment B for the blank consent. You are to use the form to obtain written consent prior to conducting your observation. Place this signed consent form in an envelope, seal the envelope, and submit it with your observation. You are only to report on what you observe. See Attachment E for the rubric that will be used to evaluate your report.
Format: Your report must be typed, double spaced, and at least 3-to-4 pages in length (title pages do not count as a page).
Failing to meet the minimum requirements for length will reduce your score by 3 points. You are to have a 1-inch margin on all sides. You must use a 12-pitch font. Your report must include the following sections:
a Introduction: This section will describe why you chose to observe this particular age. It will include something other than because this was the only group available.
