Proposal Paper for alternate solution to “War on Drugs” .Attached is the assignment paper as well as an example a previous student did. This was one of those pick an issue as a topic and write about it for the semester kind of class. My topic was “war on drugs” and mostly I’ve been writing about how it’s not really solving the intended problem and the negative consequences it has caused (high incarceration rates, targeting minorities, increased cartel violence, etc). In this paper I want to mention these things and come up with an alternative solution. This can be whatever you want it to be (legalization, decriminalization, etc) whatever you think is easier to make an argument for. The detailed direction is included in the attachment, as well as a well done example for a different topic if you would like to take a look.
