this part, define who are the key stakeholders in the project environment and identify their longterm interests by using the relevant academic literature.
University for example

local community/ London, Stratford)
Core stakeholders: student(users, client), society, government
All have interest in priorities
Long-term direction
A way of thinking two steps ahead
Perpetuation of value creation after project implementation
Long-term incentive motivation/contract or an achievement for PM
element of project selling, convincing people
professionalism
Legacy
Philosophical— utility/aesthetics
Political —diverse stakeholders
Moral – environment
Some cases are negative outcomes (mistake, bad luck, negligence)
Legacy
Philosophical— utility/aesthetics
Political —diverse stakeholders
Moral – environment
Example: business – marketing, reputation, operational(users), financial(return), technology innovation
Business is relationship + knowledge with boundary
(If I can do a great job, people start to discuss it= add value, reputation)
case by case, eyes open, don’t be certain
Is project legacy a professional responsibility (need to be defined) or a value-adding service? (25%)
Both
professionalism could be your Identity, reputation and could bring you short or long term value eventually.
Identify a project from your or another industry which can be managed in the long-term and illustrate
how you would go about strategically managing the project in the long-term – who are the project
stakeholders and which factors would you prioritize and why? (25%)
Me: Flower bulbs imported company
Project: Select good quality of flower bulbs/seeds and varieties of flower (suitable for the preference of
local culture and people) from Netherlands to Taiwan
Professional responsibility (adding service):
After sales service (quality follow-up)
Even offer field inspection for farmer (invite expert to them) to maintain the quality of flower growing and
discuss with them
I took responsibility for the flower bulbs I imported in terms of product follow- up. They always have a few
problems, because flower bulbs are not just products but also living things. It has really bothered us for a
while. Therefore, our team and I spent time developing and offering integrated customer service to our
Taiwanese clients and passed on feedback to suppliers appropriately. In doing so, we especially focused
on after-sales management and product quality maintenance.
Key stakeholder: supplier (flower company in Netherlands) and client (farmer in Taiwan)
Long-term legacy:
Reputation
Good quality of flower bulbs/seeds and select new variety which has potentialgood after-sales
management (above are the things I do)
farmer plants flowers well enhance quality and price of flowers people can buy most beautiful
flower
