Paper Requirements
Must be at least 4 full pages in length, but not longer than 7 pages. This does not include the title page or the reference page. Your paper must be typed, double spaced in 12 size Times New Roman font.
Four or more sources are required; your textbook cannot be one of the sources. Only three sources can be a web site. Try to have sources five years or less in age. Avoid popular magazines. Some good sources are RN magazine, PMA magazine, American Journal of Nursing and US Pharmacist. You may use any of the Internet sources from reputable websites. Wikipedia is not considered a reliable source and will not be included in the required number of sources. (However, if you want to use an internet source other than what is listed on the class web sites please let me know first). Remember, please use at least one source other than the Internet, like a book less than 5 years old or a health field type magazine. Only three web sources are allowed.
Personal Analysis-explain why you chose your topic. It could be you have a personal understanding, know someone, or you found it interesting and wanted to learn more about. Your submitted paper goes through Turnitin which provides a score for you and your instructor to view. Take the time to learn what that score means and how you can avoid plagiarism. Each part of the paper that includes information you found with a resource, must have an in-text citation giving credit to the author(s). Each in-text citation must have a corresponding reference listed. Proper in-text citations must have author’s last name and the year of publication, for example: (Parker, 2015). Direct quotes must include author’s last name, year of publication and pg. number(Parker, 2015, p.14) Direct quotes over 40 words must be indented, free-standing typewritten lines and omit quotation marks.
References should begin on a new page, in alphabetical order based on the first authors last name
