Case Study Assignment
Identify an article or legal case from the NexisUni law database on the UNI Library website. The UNI library provides access to the NexisUni database where resources can be searched by topic. There are two case studies required:
· Case Study 1: Construction Contracts
· Case Study 2: Construction Torts
For each assignment, identify an interesting legal case and provide a typed two-page critical review of the case.
Give a proper legal citation of the legal case and explain the background of the dispute or court proceedings. Summarize the judges ruling and the legal doctrine or principal used to reach their decision. Explain the impact on contractor operation and how the legal case may impact your decisions as a construction professional.
