The aim of this assignment is to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding over contemporary issues, challenges and best practices in implementing sustainability principles in business operations. For this assignment, you need to first select a specific sector / industry of your choice (e.g. Manufacturing, Retail, Automobile, Healthcare, Hospitality etc.), and then critically discuss the following points with real-life examples. • Critically discuss the key sustainability issues (environmental and societal) in your selected sector, and explain the key challenges involved in adopting sustainable practices in that sector. • Critically review the best sustainable practices adopted in your selected sector highlighting real-life examples. • Critically evaluate the role of consumers in developing a sustainable supply chain. Suggest potential ways to motivate the consumers to adopt sustainable practices. • Given an opportunity, what are the recommendations you could provide to policymakers to reduce the environmental and societal impact of business operations in your selected sector. You should look for innovative and practical recommendations. In your essay, you should incorporate your independent thinking and use real-life examples to support your arguments. Ideally, you should discuss examples from developing and developed countries’ to provide a comparative perspectives. You
