The health service clinic is equipped with standard diagnostic tools, a fully functional laboratory, a pharmacy, and a dental clinic. For acute emergencies or routine surgical procedures, the health service admin personnel coordinates treatment with local area hospitals and inmates are securely transported. The health services team is managed by a Health Service Administrator (HSA) and an Assistant Health Service Administration, who directly reports to the Associate Warden (AW). The HSA and AHSA are considered to be middle management, while the AW is senior management. The role of the HSA is to provide direct oversight of the administrative aspect of the health service unit, while the AHSA provides direct oversight over all clinical aspects of the unit. Each supervisor can implement changes and make directives that affect the function of the department. However, both are collectively responsible for the productivity of the unit.
