Cross culture management
Structure
All reports should begin with an introduction to the case. In it you outline briefly what the situation is, how it developed historically, what the problems are, and how you are going to approach the case write-up, including the theoretical/conceptual frameworks you will use for the analysis. Make sure you use plenty of headings and subheadings to structure your analysis. Tailor the sections and subsections to the specific issues of importance in the case. Make sure the sections and subsections of your discussion flow logically and smoothly from one to the next. And do not forget to end the analysis with a short conclusion or recommendations.
must replied below questions:
1. Identify the key motivational drivers in Haier’s performance management system and argue for how they motivate Chinese employees (i.e., what key motivational theories explain why this performance management system works?).
2. Compare traditional Chinese values and norms with modern Chinese values and norms to explain why this performance management system worked especially well in China at the time. Would it still work today? Why or why not?
3. Compare and contrast China with Australia. Would a company be able to implement a system like Haier’s in Australia? What would be key cultural values, norms, and scripts that would drive the implementation success of this performance management system? In addition, what are differences in culture culture‐driven leadership preferences between China and Australia that would affect whether this system could be successfully implemented?
