Instructions
Choose one of the following topics and write a paper of at least 1000 words on your chosen
subject. Use your textbook and at least two additional resources from the online library.
Stem cell research
DNA testing (for example, to determine if one has the breast cancer gene)
Physician Assisted Suicide
Structure your paper as follows:
1.
Intro paragraph
Introduce the topic your chose and discuss how/why the subject of your topic is done.
State your thesis (main idea) and identify the main points that you will cover in the body of
your paper.
2.
Body paragraphs
What are the legal and ethical issues related to your topic (be sure to identify specific
ethical codes and laws that might apply here)?
What are the arguments for and against implementation of this topic?
What is your personal point of view on this topic? Are you for it or against it? Explain why
you feel this way.
Explain the conscience clause and discuss how it can apply to your chosen topic.
3.
Conclusion
Restate/Reword your thesis and provide a conclusion about your main points.
4.
References page
Provide a list of references in APA format.
Content requirements:
Content should be in your own words, with 20% or less from outside sources.
Use in-text citations for any information from outside sources (including paraphrased
material), should include author and publication year.
Use quotation marks to enclose any information used word-for-word.
