This section looks at ways in which organizations seeks to attract quality employees other than through compensation. The economy has a lot to do with how an organization seeks quality employees. For example, when the economy is down, companies are not as aggressive in offering attractive benefits, but when the economy is good, companies will go above the norm in its benefit offerings.
For this discussion board, consider a normal economic year when the economy is neither expanding nor declining. (a) As an HR Director, how would you attract quality customer service employees? (b) In attracting these employees, what skills would you look for to know they are good in the area of customer service? (c) What kind of training would be helpful in developing their customer service skills?
