In book 7, Socrates first describes the cave as an underground cave, then when he was telling the story of the cave he talked about how there was no light and the only light the people inside had was the fire behind them and all they saw was the shadow images of people and other things. When you watch the video of the cave it shows that. It also talked about one person was dragged out that person could be blinded by the sun’s beam because he/she was accustomed to not having light in there. My question is could the one word description of the cave be underground or dark?
