Big Data Analysis
This course has been very helpful in my current workplace as it has made my work easier with the knowledge that I have acquired from the course. I have applied all the skills, knowledge, and theories that I have applied in this course to my current workplace. Currently, I work as a Software developer engineer in tests at Sams club. As an SDET, I have different responsibilities in my organization, where I mainly concentrate on the testability of big data, which is termed big data testing and testing software. I also develop software in my company which is not common, but it is also my duty. One of the skills that I have acquired in this class that I apply in my workplace is analytics skills and problem-solving skills. In this course, we acquire the analytical and problem-solving skills I apply in my everyday job while testing software and big data in my company.
These skills have been beneficial to me, and they help me perform my tasks effectively. For instance, in my workplace, we face many problems while testing and developing software together with the big data testing and one need to have a problem-solving skill to deal with the issues that we face every day. Also, from this class, I gained debugging skills, which helps me in detecting and removing the possible existing errors while performing my task. In this course, we were equipped with knowledge concerning debugging which has been of much help in my career as a software developer engineer in test (GestiSoft, 2016). While doing all this, I have to detect the possible errors that may take place or that have occurred and be able to remove them, and I can only be able to do this due to the knowledge that I have gained in this class. In my field, the most crucial aspect of any software domain is testing.
I have also acquired communication skills which I have been using in my current career. While doing my tasks, I need to effectively communicate with my team to develop solutions to a particular issue that we face while performing our duties. This has been a skill that I have gained in this class working as a team, and it has been very helpful to me as I have been able to effectively communicate with my team in performing our tasks. This has been one of the best skills that have helped me in my current job. I also have the responsibility of system and performance testing of the data application and platform in my organization. The ability to do this has only been made possible and easier by this course. This is the knowledge that I have gained in this class Big Data Analysis.
Also, with the knowledge of the technologies used in handling big data, I know all the technologies that help me test big data. In my work, we apply technologies of handling big data in my organization to perform our tasks effectively. In conclusion, most of the skills and knowledge I have gained in this class have been very helpful in my current work environment. I have gained the trust of my employer as they have seen that I can effectively perform my tasks, which has helped my career. The course has been very helpful to me. The course has also helped me in my daily life as I have acquired time management skills in the class. I can keep time and finish my work either at work or home at the time required.
