Responsibilities The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible to perform in an accurate and efficient manner according to departmental procedures. The Accounts Payable Clerk will work together with Account Managers to ensure all department objectives are met in a timely and precise manner.
Examples of Duties, includes but is not limited to the following:
Perform full cycle accounts payable on a weekly basis for several clients
Communicate with clients and team to ensure A/P is processed timely and accurately
Reconcile accounts payable ledger and sub ledgers
Ensure Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss accounts are classified correctly
Emails, calls, filing related to A/P, A/R, Banking
Assist operations team with Ad Hoc accounting projects.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
* * Requirements: This is a high performance team work environment. Please have the following in regard to: * * Experience: At least 5 years of experience as an accounts payable clerk or similar role with comparable goals and responsibilities. * * Education: Accounting, finance, or similar degree a plus but not required * * Skills:
Candidates will be tested on accounting skills.
Understanding of GAAP and their application to Accounts Payable functions.
Must be able to communicate effectively with clients and staff.
Must be able to establish and maintain outstanding working relationships with clients and staff.
Ability to quickly learn new software.
Ability to perform at a high level with minimal supervision or guidance.
Ability to meet deadlines with the highest level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
